How OxbridgeAI Works

Adaptive mastery-based learning in 5 steps. Built-in whiteboard with AI analysis. Free trial available.

For Students

1

Step 1: Sign up and choose your exam

Go to oxbridgeaitutor.com/signup. Select TMUA or ESAT. Choose your target universities and subject. Takes 2 minutes.

2

Step 2: Take the diagnostic

The AI tutor runs a diagnostic across all topics in your exam — 6 questions per topic to establish your baseline mastery level. Each topic is categorised:

  • ESAT: Warming Up, Needs Focus, Building, Strong, Exam Ready
  • TMUA: GRAY, RED, AMBER, GREEN, GOLD

Takes 20–40 minutes.

3

Step 3: Get your personalised preparation plan

The system builds a topic-by-topic plan weighted toward your weakest areas. Sessions are 40% weakest topics, 30% developing topics, 20% review, 10% strongest topics. The plan updates automatically after every session.

4

Step 4: Practice with the AI tutor

Each session is 25 minutes. The AI tutor uses the Socratic method — it guides you to understand, not just gives you answers. For written working, use the built-in whiteboard: write your solution with a stylus and the AI reads your working directly, identifies exactly where you went wrong, and explains the correct approach. Available 24/7.

Step 5: Take mock exams and track readiness

Full timed mock exams unlock when you reach 50%+ topics at Strong or Exam Ready level. After each mock you receive a detailed breakdown by topic. Your readiness score updates in real time as you practice.

The Mastery System

Every topic has a mastery level that updates in real time.

ESAT Mastery Levels

Warming Up → Needs Focus → Building → Strong → Exam Ready

Exam Ready requires both accuracy AND speed within time limits.

TMUA Mastery Levels

GRAY → RED → AMBER → GREEN → GOLD

GOLD requires accuracy within time limits.

A topic only advances when the student demonstrates genuine mastery across multiple questions, not from a single correct answer. Topics decay over time if not revisited — spaced repetition keeps mastery maintained.
